Bournemouth Air Show

Bournemouth Air Festival 28th to 31st August 2008 - Travel Information

Due to the high volumes of spectators expected for the Air Festival; we expect heavy traffic congestion in and around the Bournemouth and Boscombe Seafront areas. Rather than sit in traffic queues; why not consider taking the bus or train for a change? Buses can take you directly to Bournemouth and Boscombe seafronts.

Travelling by Bus

If your first journey option by bus leaves you with a long walk to the seafront; we suggest selecting Bournemouth Bus/Train Station from the drop down list. From the station; you are able to catch a bus to Bournemouth Pier/Bournemouth Town Centre (lower gardens). All buses from the station go to either the pier or the gardens (just make sure that the bus is going in the right direction).

Coaches

There will be a coach drop off point in Gervis Road with coach parking at Queens Road, Westbourne which can be accessed off the A338.

There will also be limited overflow coach parking at Cotlands Road car park on Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st August situated along from Bournemouth Train Station.

Travelling by Train

A free Yellow Bus service is being provided from Pokesdown Train Station to Boscombe Pier. Simply; show your valid train ticket for free travel to and from Boscombe Pier.

Travelling by Cycle

Cycle racks are available for use at the eastern end of the East Overcliff Drive.
